Despite dreary weather during the week, the Cirrus Vision SF50 arrived in Salt Lake City and did not disappoint. The International Learn to Fly Day weekend of events kicked off at MillionAir on Thursday evening with multiple low passes by the Cirrus Vision. The fly-by was followed by a reception showcasing the 2011 Limited Commemorative Edition SR22T, several Ferraris from Steve Harris Imports, and a keynote address by Andrew Broom, AOPA Vice President of Communications.
The Cirrus team faced cold temperatures and a snow storm to relocate to Park City, Utah for Saturday’s events. With the sun finally making an appearance, a crowd of Cirrus and Ferrari fans descended upon the Heber Airport for an afternoon of airplanes, cars and a Critical Decision Making Seminar facilitated by Jeff Moss, 2010 CFI of the Year.
Under mostly-sunny skies, the Cirrus Vision pilots wowed the crowd with high and low speed passes set against the breathtaking Wasatch Mountains. The event concluded with a dinner at Deer Valley Resort where many wondered how we landed both the Vision and the 22T on the plaza!
We’d like to thank everyone that joined us to celebrate general aviation, including this “little” guy.

Is it just me or does our SR22T look likes it’s waving hello? Our team just spent a few wonderful and exciting days in Chile meeting with aviators and giving Demonstration Flight. Below, our well-travelled team is crossing the Andes on their way to Argentina.
The AERO Friedrichshafen trade show touts itself as Europe’s foremost show for general aviation. It attracts an aviation-savvy audience from all over the world, eager to judge the best on the market and discover what’s next in flight. Perhaps that’s why the Cirrus Vision SF50 jet is getting so much attention (see image below).
Cirrus Aircraft is on hand, full force, with an international crew not only from the World Headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota but from Cirrus International Sales Centers in Germany, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Spain.
The show runs through Saturday, April 16. If you’re in the area, this is a must-see event.

Despite the rain, we had a great time down in Florida!
On Monday, March 28 we were slammed with rain. It rained steady –- to sometimes an all out deluge –- from Sunday evening to about 10pm Monday night. The west half of our tent was under water up to the calves. We were able to get SUN ‘n FUN ground crews to pump out the excess water and lay down wood mulch to keep us from walking in mud.
Despite the slow start, Day Two turned busy after lunch, complete with sunshine and 85 degrees.
The Limited Commemorative Edition SR22T was set up under the tent on blocks. We heard positive remarks about how beautiful it is and as always, a lot of anticipation and excitement surrounding the Cirrus Vision SF50.
Inside Cirrus – our premiere road show – is flying farther and wider than ever before. Watch this space for updates from our team as they travel through Latin and South America over the next several months meeting aviators and Cirrus fans.
